This British pattern Mk 1 sword bayonet was introduced into British service on the 21^st June 1916 and was made under contract in the USA by Remington and Winchester.  The blued ricasso is stamped with the pattern date of 1913, the production date of June  1917 and the Remington makers mark.Remington made 1,243,000 by the end of WW1

Introduced to thew British Army in June 1916
