This is a scarce WWI aluminium German DOPP.Z.96.n/A Fuze. Aluminum fuses were only used during the early stages of the Great War and were soon replaced by the much cheaper brass examples. This fuse was used in the German 7.7cm FK96 n/A field gun that was the by the 2nd Reich Field Artillery when the war first started in 1914.
