An original WW2 BMW R12 motorcycle rear frame rider’s seat, recovered in relic condition and representing a scarce surviving component from one of Germany’s most iconic military motorcycles.
The BMW R12 was first introduced in 1935 and became one of the most widely used motorcycles of the German armed forces during the Second World War. Production continued until 1942, with approximately 36,000 examples manufactured, the majority being supplied to military and government services.
