Original British Pattern 1907 Bayonet by Wilkinson – First World War

An nice clean original Pattern 1907 British bayonet, manufactured by the renowned Wilkinson Sword Company, one of the principal suppliers of edged weapons to the British Army during the First World War. The Pattern 1907 bayonet was designed for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle and remained the standard British service bayonet throughout both World Wars.

This is a genuine wartime example featuring the classic 17-inch single-edged blade, steel crossguard and pommel, with original wooden grips secured by two screw bolts. Wilkinson-produced bayonets are highly regarded by collectors for their quality of manufacture and historical significance.

The ricasso carries the correct Wilkinson maker’s markings together with the British inspection and acceptance stamps, providing an authentic record of its military service. (Please see photographs for the exact markings and date.) Also the pommel of the bayonet has the Regiment etched in R.E.
