Royal Armoured Corps WW2 Beret and Badge
An original mid war British Army Royal Armoured Corps pattern black beret .
This pattern of beret was worn by various armoured units including the RAC and the Royal Tank Regiment. The crown is made from a black coloured spun wool and a black leather sweatband is fitted around the edge. There are no eyelets present , so a bit earlier than the Kangol type,this beret features the correct leather backing to the inside of the cap badge. The interior of the hat is lined with black cotton and has the extra stitch line present to give the head band. The inside as can see has been well worn, the outside cloth is good , no moth, comes with the original white metal cap badge.
