He was of slim statue, grey eyes, height 1/65m , dark blond hair, Professional Tailor.

Died heroic death for leader, nation and country, died from a grenade on 31-12-1942. Buried 30kk south of Rschew, (Rzhev) Soviet Union.

During the Battle of Rzhev, 1942-43, otherwise known as the Meat Grinder of the Eastern front.

This was known as the Meat Grinder due to the overwhelming losses of the Russian troops with unknown German Losses.

This collection is all for Emil Furgol, inc lots of photo’s inc his marriage , in uniform, as a boy, etc, lots of paperwork, inc death notice and photo of grave.

This also comes with a boxed IRON CROSS 1st Class, 3 part construction .

Also a letter to his wife from the leader of the company dated 11-02-1943  stating that your husband was killed by a grenade .
