The American Bosch SB9RU-3 magneto was produced early to mid 1940s heavily used during WWII, with specific service manuals dated early 1942 and parts breakdowns from 1941, often for aircraft engines like those on fighter planes.

lists service instructions from 1942, and Gwen Foss confirms a 1942 publication for types SB9RU-3 and SB9RC-3.
