WW1, French 75 DEC Shell Case, dated 1917 Trench Art piece with Gibraltar ,Royal Marine Artillery inscribed. RARE piece from this part of the War.

WW1 French 75 DEC (75mm Canone de Campagne) Shell Case, Marked “MAM,925L,17Bo”. Giving us the date of 1917.

8.5cm diameter, 34.5cm tall. Shellcase is in good condition.

During World War I, Royal Marine Artillery (RMA) units, including those stationed in Gibraltar, played a vital role in coastal defence and supporting the Royal Navy, with the Royal Marines Light Infantry (RMLI) also contributing as infantry and sharpshooters.
