Original WW2 Royal Army Pay Corps No 1 Peaked Cap by ‘Fishers’ London

An original British Army  No 1 peaked cap made by ‘Fishers of Woolwich’ which belonged to the Royal Army Pay Corps.

This original cap is an earlier shape with high sides and a stiff crown. It is made from a nice Blue coloured fur felt and features and gold or yellow trim, and No 1 dress Royal Army Pay Corps , black and white metal cap badge to the front and brass RAPC buttons to each side. These buttons hold a black leather chin strap to the front of the cap. The hat retains its original maker’s label to the interior which reads ‘Fishers of Woolwich London’ and features the typical graphics used by this company around the time of the Second World War. The leather sweatband is marked ‘Real Roam Leather’ which is another detail on wartime caps.

The hat measures at 23″ which is a U.K. size 7 1/8

Overall a very nice original hat which would make a great addition to any collection.
