Ju88 Wing Panel Section (Balcon Cross) Paintwork

Large original airframe wing section from the German Junkers Ju88 night fighter of 4./NJG 3 B4+OA shot down by return fire from a RAF Lancaster Bomber on the 25th April 1945. The night fighter crashed at Iveland Aust-Agder Norway, this night fighter, based at Kjevik was shot down by RAAF Lancaster bomber of 463 Squadron , at 23.01 pm on that night. The crew of the Ju88 were all killed. The Lancaster RA542 code JO-Z, was also badly hit by the Junkers and made a forced landing at Satenas airport Sweden.

Size of piece 31 in x 37 in

The Deutsche Metallwerke numbers are on the inside of the piece also inc are all the stencilled numbers, (please see all photo’s),

This piece has the original paintwork inc the part of the Balkan Cross to the outside skin. (please see photo’s). There is some red paint to one area over the top of the paintwork which i’m afraid is part of it’s history since 1945. The piece has an arc to the panel and inside framework pieces are still present.

These pieces are RARE to find .

I have two wing sections from the same aircraft , this is one .
