Clothes rationing book belonging to Dorothy Ward, and stapled together is her husband William, with a coupon for knitting wool that has not been redeemed . Also is two supplementary clothing coupons, Ward family again. All clothing was rationed on a points system from June 1941 and often just buying a coat would use up your year’s allowance. This forced many people to ‘make do and mend’ and a campaign encouraged the wearing of old clothes.
