GERMAN THIRD REICH K98 BAYONET BY W.K.C.

WWII German Third Reich K98 bayonet with bakelite grips and blade ricasso marked with W.K.C. Both bayonet and scabbard stamped no 6299, and dated 1939.

This example was made in 1939 by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen.

This is a great example of the knife bayonet used with the 8 mm. Mauser Kar 98k, the Seitengewehr (sidearm) M1884/98 Third Pattern.

Measures approx:  38.5cm overall. This is an original WW2 German K98 bayonet, manufactured in 1939 by W.K.C., as indicated by the “39” marking on the spine of the blade. This model, known as the M1884/98, was standard issue for German forces and designed for use with the Karabiner 98k rifle. The bayonet features intact brown Bakelite grips with minor wear, while the scabbard retains patina and age-related wear. This is a well-preserved and historically significant example of German military equipment used during World War 2.
