WW2 British Prismatic No.5 Mk 4 Binoculars and case
A pair of binoculars made in the 1940s most probably by Ross of London for the British forces during WW2, the model is Bino Prismatic No.5 mk4 and are a 7 x 50 magnification, with individual eyepiece focus and central support bar and serial no 55440.
Th binoculars have a green crackle-finished body and come with a leather case and strap.
The binoculars are also fitted with graticules-a series of marks visible when observing that allow one to work out the sizes of distant objects.
The No.5 was a military spec for the British army.
The optics are excellent and in full working order.
The case is fully marked with Bino Prism No.5, and has a number written into the edge of the lid.
