Relic belt buckle, German Army recovered from the outskirts of Stalingrad, Russia.Insignia to the front GOTT MITUNS WITH EAGLE OVER SWASTIKA. On the reverse is the slide clip with the pin and two belt spikes.This is a relic item and made of Aluminium so obviously is degraded. Battle of Stalingrad 23rd august 1942- 2 Feb 1943 Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. Marked by fierce close quarters combat and direct assaults on civilians in air raids, it is one of the bloodiest battles in history of warfare, with an estimated 2 million total casualties.
