Description

Prussian Enlisted man’s  Pickelhaube dated 1915,last of the line before the M16 , hence the steel fittings. Prussian issue helmet plate, lovely clear date and manufacturer to inside rear visor, also his name and regiment details (see photo’s). On the front inside visor is his name and regimental details. 6 korp 7/93 .

This piece comes complete with its liner which is all original to the piece.

This helmet is a large size, and it also has some battle damage ie shrapnel hits and a bullet hole which has passed through the side of the helmet through the liner and out the back.

There is also damage to the other side and front due to shrapnel again, plus a piece of the eagles foot has been damaged.

Other than the battle damage the leather of the helmet is in good condition.

Often i find these and generally they are in good untouched condition , but it makes a change to find one that you know has actually served.
