A single 20 mm Armament Gun from De- Havilland Mosquito crashed Bradwell bay 1945

SOLD..One single front section of a 20 mm  gun from the De Havilland Mosquito DH98. NF Mk 30.

I’m afraid the one the left is the only one left.

Mosquito MM791, lost height on take off for bomber support mission and crashed on mudflats ,RAF Bradwell Bay 6.3.45.

F/O Brockbank with F/Lt Lane were scrambled on an anti-intruder patrol,but they crashed on take- off into the mud of the Blackwater river. The crew were trapped and despite strenuous efforts from the shore, and efforts by the Royal navy, they could not be reached and both crew members died.

This item has been mounted onto a  oak plinth and have been wired up to take electric light (see photo’s), this piece has been certified by an electrician.

This is in relic condition.
